Episode 213: The Doors & the Ghost of Jim Morrison

Jim Morrison, poet, becomes the controversial and boundary pushing front man of one of the most beloved bands of all time.

This week we are paying homage to Val Kilmer by taking a look at one of his best performances, playing the legendary, larger than life Jim Morrison in The Doors!

We are mixing up a tiki drink to honor the Lizard King and have a chat about the legacy and performance of Kilmer in the Oliver Stone biopic The Doors!

• 2oz Aged Rum
• 2oz Blackberry Shrub
• Rosemary Garnish

 Add ingredients to tiki glass filled with ice. Garnish with rosemary.

• 1.5oz Vanilla Kahlua
• 1.5oz Amaretto
• 3oz Chocolate Milk
• Oreo Topping

 Add ingredients to ice filled glass. Stir to combine and top with cookie crumbles.

• Lemon Lime Soda

Shake vodka, gin, and blue curacao with ice. Strain into ice filled rocks glass. Top with soda and garnish with a cherry and/or orange slice.

Add ingredients to shaker with ice. Shake and strain into ice filled rocks glass. Gernish with a dash of cayenne pepper on top.

• 2oz Gin
• 1oz Chamomile Honey Syrup
• 1oz Lemon Juice

Combine ingredients in a shaker tin with ice. Shake and strain into chilled coupe glass.

*Chamomile Honey Syrup - Steep 2 tea bags in 1/2 cup hot water for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and stir in 1/2 cup of honey. Store syrup in refrigerator.
